Gold-Silver Calligraphy – Taiwanese Souvenir

A new Chinese “Buddha” character was fabricated on a white-plate by using gold and silver. As shown in the following picture, the new porcelain calligraphy is a Taiwanese souvenir.

A Chinese “longevity” character was fabricated on a red-plate by using silver and gold. As shown in the following picture, the “longevity” character was prepared to express birthday good wishes in Taiwan. Therefore, this silver-gold calligraphy is a special birthday gift.

A Chinese “quiet” character was fabricated on a ceramic by silver, which was then coated by palladium and rhodium. As shown in the following picture, the appearance of palladium-rhodium-silver alloy on the character is beautiful. It is a nice Taiwanese souvenir.

A Chinese Buddha character was fabricated by silver and gold. Although most gold was soluble in silver, we still kept some gold on the character. As shown in the following picture, the gold-silver sculpture was formed on a red-plate. This is a nice Taiwanese souvenir.

A Chinese Buddha character was formed. As shown in the following picture, the gold sculpture was fabricated on a glass and would last for ever. This is a nice Taiwanese souvenir.

Rhodium Powder in Water

The gloss of rhodium powder was enhanced by the presence of water. Therefore, as shown in the following picture, rhodium powder was suspended in water to shown its special gloss.

In addition to gold, rhodium was also used at my lab. Rhodium is a rare, silvery-white, and chemically inert noble metal. Its attractive gloss always impressed me. Therefore, rhodium powder was prepared. As shown in the following pictures, the gloss of rhodium powder in a beaker is very beautiful.
